FGN Power Company has completed the installation and energization of the 60MVA, 132/33kV power transformer at Apo Transmission Substation.
The newly installed Apo transformer has replaced the 45 MVA 132/33 kV transformer that is no longer in service. This replacement will ensure steady and dependable supply at the transmission level to approximately 5,000 households and businesses.
FGN Power Company has received delivery of about 80% of the equipment which are currently being deployed at critical sites across the country that will unlock transmission capacity constraints. Some of the sites include; Apo, Ajah, Okene, Nike Lake, Kwanar Dangora, Maryland, Omouaran, Ojo, Amukpe, Ihovbor, Potiskum, Birnin Kebbi amongst others.
