The National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) has begun another impactful capacity-building program; Gas Turbine Operators Training for Pacific Energy Company staff drawn from the Olorunsogo and Omotosho Power Plants.
This intensive two-week training program is designed to strengthen the technical competence of plant operators, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainable power generation in Nigeria.
Training Overview
A total of 91 Gas Turbine Operators were nominated for the programme, and NAPTIN structured the delivery into two batches to ensure quality engagement, hands-on participation, and effective knowledge transfer.
• Batch 1: Successfully concluded this week, Friday, 21 November 2025
• Batch 2: Scheduled to commence this Monday, 24th November 2025
The training is being conducted at NAPTIN’s Akangba Training Centre in Lagos, one of the Institute’s foremost hubs for technical excellence and practical field-oriented courses.
Participants from Batch 1 expressed deep appreciation for the well-structured modules, knowledgeable facilitators, modern training environment, and the overall organisation of the program. Many noted that the course has significantly enhanced their understanding of gas turbine operations and safety procedures skills that will immediately translate into improved plant performance.
