Prof. Mamman Lawan is the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser (CSLA) of the FGN Power Company, appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to direct and control the provision of effective legal services and ensure the highest quality of legal and compliance advice is provided to the PPI in the most efficient manner.

Prof. Mamman Lawan is a Professor of Law and former Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Bayero University, Kano. He is a Member of the Body of Benchers. He was Secretary, Constitution & Electoral Reform Committee between 2016 and 2017. He has been Dispute Resolution Counsellor, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission since 2013. He served as a Consultant, House of Reps. Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution 2012-2014. He also served as Member, NBA Criminal Justice Reform Committee between 2012 and 2014.
