Dr. Idowu Oyebanjo is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of the FGN Power Company, appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari with the responsibility of coordinating project activities with Siemens, TCN, DisCos, contractors, material suppliers and other external stakeholders. He leads all technical aspects of the project from concept through development.

Dr. Oyebanjo is an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer with a proven track record of success in the Oil, Gas & Power Industry market sectors. Before joining the PPI, he served as Primary System Design Engineer at E-ON / Western Power Distribution, UK, where he represented the company in negotiations with major customers, consultants, National Grid, and the UK Regulator (OFGEM). He also served as a Commissioning Engineer at Power Engineering Consultants, UK and as a Facilities Engineer at JV Oil Operations at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. He holds a PhD in power systems engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, and a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Lagos.
