Engr. Ebenezer O. Fapohunda

He is a distinguished engineering professional with over three decades of extensive experience in the transmission and distribution sectors of the power industry. With a career spanning 36 years, he has exhibited exceptional expertise in power system protection, control, metering, project management, and system design, contributing significantly to numerous successful implementations.
Formerly served as Assistant General Manager (PC&M) at TCN, Engr. Fapohunda's track record of achievements speaks for itself. His adaptability to evolving market conditions and regulatory landscapes, while prioritizing safety and quality, distinguishes him as a trusted leader in the field. Post-retirement from TCN, he served as a consultant for the commissioning of the first-ever FGN Power transformer at Apo substation. He then assumed the role of Project Manager at Chris Ejik International, overseeing multiple projects in Ekiti state until February 2024. Currently, he serves as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of FGN Power Company, where he plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, completing critical power projects, as well as enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the national grid. Engr. Fapohunda's qualifications include a master’s degree in information technology from the National Open University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, a post graduate diploma in Electrical Engineering (PGD) in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) complemented by various diplomas and certifications. A member of prestigious organizations such as the Institute of Engineers & Technology (MIET) UK, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (MIEEE) USA, and the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), NIPE, registered COREN and Engineering Council UK. Also, Engr. Fapohunda is recognized for his significant contributions to the energy sector, he has led the commissioning of various power transformers, managed substations, and lines under the World Bank initiatives, and conducted technical investigations to enhance grid stability. Engr. Fapohunda is an advocate for continuous learning, he continually augments his expertise through professional training and development programs, positioning himself as an asset to any team or project.
